Customer Terms

Version terms-2026-07-22 · Effective 22 July 2026

Accounts and authority

Accounts are available to individual sellers and organisations. You must provide accurate contact, chosen home or shop address and payout details, and have legal ownership of—or authority to sell—every submitted item.

Quotes and trades

Quotes are provisional and expire at the time shown. A trade cannot be confirmed after expiry. A quote is not final acceptance: every ISBN, UPC or EAN must identify the physical book, CD, DVD, Blu-ray, video game or board game sent, and every item remains subject to the current condition rules and inspection.

Collection, shipping and payment

Routing is determined for each trade from the chosen account address and account type. We provide our own local collection for qualifying charity shops within the configured local area. Eligible shipped-in trades are offered curated free shipping choices where available. Transit risk and any loss or damage claim are subject to the protection and exclusions of the selected carrier service.

For qualifying local charity shop collections, the relevant checks are carried out as part of collection and payment is made by card at collection. For shipped-in trades and individual sellers, once the shipment arrives we inspect the items and process payment by bank transfer within 3 days. Payment is complete when our records show it as completed.

Inspection and unsolicited items

We inspect item identity, completeness, authenticity and condition. The account shows itemised accepted, rejected, missing and unexpected items, final accepted prices, reasons and available evidence. Rejected or missing items are unpaid. Unsolicited or unexpected items have no quoted value and may be recorded separately; return eligibility depends on the inspection reason and these terms.

Returns terms

Eligible rejected items are returned only when you request them through the trade page. The request and the exact disclosed return-postage bank transfer must both be completed and cleared within seven calendar days, ending at 23:59:59 Europe/London on the deadline shown. We dispatch only after cleared payment is confirmed.

After that deadline, unrequested items—or requested items whose postage has not cleared—may become eligible for disposal or other lawful handling. Expiry does not mean automatic disposal and does not claim rights beyond applicable law.

Data handling and notices

We use account, address, trade, shipping, inspection evidence, payout and return data to perform the service, prevent duplicate notices and maintain operational and legal records. See the Privacy Notice for retention, security and rights information. Operational notices are queued and may be retried safely without creating duplicate event messages.
